THERN
Why Thern

Design and Engineering

Every Thern product is designed to meet the requirements of national standards set by ANSI and OSHA. Additionally, we’ve established our own design requirements including safety factors and performance rating.

We are committed to designing and manufacturing products that result in dependable operation and years of reliable service. Every product we design undergoes extensive testing, either on our in-house test stand or at an out-of-house testing lab. And our engineers are constantly working to improve our existing products to deliver more features and better performance for less cost.

Production and Manufacturing

Thern production and manufacturing standards are backed by a tradition of excellence in workmanship spanning six decades. Whether you’re purchasing a standard catalog item or a custom made-to-order product, if it carries the Thern name it was manufactured by master craftsmen using only the highest quality materials and components.
Our computer controlled machining centers provide accuracy and efficiency for high volume components, allowing us to maintain quality while keeping product costs low. We also have an extensive range of manual machines for specialized custom work.

All Thern products are assembled and warehoused on site, allowing for quick delivery and close control of the order to shipment process.

Quality Assurance and Testing

Thern is a name synonymous with quality. Every product we manufacture must meet our strict quality standards or it doesn’t carry the Thern name. Our quality management system is certified to the ISO 9001/2000 standard. All inspection tools are maintained and calibrated on a regular basis as required under the ISO standard.

All new products are rigorously tested to ensure performance and durability. Thern has the ability to test products with load capacities up to 50,000 lbs. and line speeds of up to 200 fpm. Test and inspection certificates are available upon request.
